Europe Rail News: 10 June 2021
Paris to Nice by night train from €19, Prague to Croatia RegioJet, Budapest Children's Railway, a new station in Moscow, and more Europe rail news.
Welcome to the second edition of the Europe Rail News Newsletter, and hello to new subscribers. I'm still working out the format and frequency, but having just put this newsletter together I can see that there will always be lots of news to share.
One of this week's news articles is from Budapest, and while looking for a related photo in my archives I found this photo from Budapest Keleti railway station (the main international and inter-city railway terminal in Budapest, Hungary).

Children's Railway Budapest
I rode this railway when I was based in Budapest. I thought it was some kind of kids' playground until I found out it was literally a railway run by children (with adult supervision). This was before I started Nomadic Notes so I didn't blog about it. In fact, going through my old photos it seems I only took two photos that day, so while I was living in the moment I don't remember much about it. Nowadays I would have taken 10 photos of the station cat before I even got to the train.
Here is the official website, and here is a photo from my visit, probably in 2006 or 2007.
